Iranian pistachio kernels are the green, edible nuts inside the pistachio shell. Food makers value them because they save time in production. In addition, Khalili Trading sources pistachios from Anar and Kerman province. As a result, we can supply kernels for wholesale and bulk orders.
What are pistachio kernels?
Pistachio kernels, also called shelled pistachios, are pistachios without their shell. First, the grower harvests the in-shell nuts. Then the processor removes the shell and sorts the kernels. Therefore, buyers receive a product that is ready for the production line.
Who buys pistachio kernels?
Many industries rely on kernels. For example, confectionery makers add them to sweets and chocolate. Likewise, bakeries use them in cakes and pastries, and ice cream producers use them for flavour and colour. Moreover, snack and food companies put them in mixes and ready meals.
What to check before you buy
Quality decides the value of a kernel lot. First, check the colour, because fresh kernels usually look green. Second, ask about the size and the share of whole kernels. Third, confirm the moisture level and the crop year. Finally, ask for a laboratory report if your country requires one. For this reason, put these points in writing before you order.
Our pistachio kernels from Kerman
Kerman is Iran’s main pistachio province, and we work close to the growers in Anar. Because of this, we select the crop carefully before processing. Then we sort the kernels and pack them to match your order. However, specifications differ from buyer to buyer, so we agree the details with you first.
